Of things we can not know or comprehend
Everyone rejoice, I'm posting. : )
So, I was thinking, their are SOOOO many mysteries in this world. Like, the human mind can't comprehend, kind of mysteries.
For instance, Heaven. We all know it exists, but it's not like we know where it is, but we all know it exists, it's a place. However, as mortals, we can't get their, we can only be taken their after death. Or maybe not be taken, maybe we go on our own. It's like it is on an alternate dimension, which is something we can't fully comprehend. And really, all the same theories apply to Hell. But who knows, Hell could be on a different, "dimension" than Heaven. After all there is no sadness or tears in heaven, and they say that would mean we can't see Hell, in Heaven, which makes sense.
Or how about this: no one knows really, what it's going to be like in Heaven. How similar we are going to be to our former selves, etc. etc. Really, the only things we do know is that it's going to be absolutely wonderful, we will be able to praise God, and see him face to face. And you know, how sometimes in books, when people nearly die, and they actually end up living? Often, such as in Christy, the main characters are supposedly "in heaven" or near heaven, or something. But NO ONE knows, really what it's like. It's really the greatest adventure of all, because it's something completely different than our world, something completely uncomprehendable, and no one can tell us about it, aside from God. And the only things he has told us are in the Bible, and if you ask me, most of that is pretty cryptic.
Everyone wants to go on an adventure, but if we don't get enough of an adventure for us in this life, everyone gets one when they die.
The only question is whether or not the adventure is a good or a bad one. And it's forever too. Which is what scares people, who have any comprehension of the afterlife, because they want to believe that man has a second chance to get it right, when actually, he doesn't get a second chance. It's like clutching at straws.
On earth their are plenty of things we don't understand, like the devil, or angels. We know the devil exists, and that he roams the world. But is that as a man, or invisible? He has power, but not as much power as God. But we don't know how much he uses the power. Does he stay in Hell most of the time, or does he prefer the world? Is Hell like his . . . haven, or is it a place he hates too? And man, does he ever know, that the devil is nearby. What if those stories you hear, that no one believes, that everyone says were imagined, or something normal, aren't? And do angels ever come down from heaven? But really, it doesn't matter, because we know God is 100% in control. So whatever the devil may do, it's all part of God's plan.
So we don't have to be afraid. Curious, but never afraid.
